SUCCESS STORIES

MORRISTOWN MEDICAL – NJ

Springbrook Country Club pioneered this program by adopting Morristown Medical Center in late March.

Springbrook’s foundation and over 400 members are already responsible for donating and delivering over 2000 drinks, 500 meals, and 1000 energy bars to Morristown hospital workers.

MT SINAI HOSPITAL – NY

The New York Athletic Club (NYAC) has been supporting Mt. Sinai Hospital in Manhattan.  The club  has established a daily drop off and assisting ClubsHelp by recruiting NYC Clubs into the cause.

ELMHURST HOSPITAL – NY

Deepdale Golf Club has partnered with Elmhurst Hospital and delivered truckloads of hydration.

Desert Mountain Club

“The idea to support the greater community was first generated by our members, who consistently and generously help others,” said Damon DiOrio, CEO, Desert Mountain Club.  “And of course, when Mr. Nicklaus added his challenge, Desert Mountain was ready to help.”

“The idea to support the greater community was first generated by our members, who consistently and generously help others,” said Damon DiOrio, CEO, Desert Mountain Club.  “And of course, when Mr. Nicklaus added his challenge, Desert Mountain was ready to help.”

Since Nicklaus’ challenge, which aligned with a grass roots member-driven initiative, Desert Mountain raised nearly $60,000 over the course of eight weeks to supply 3,550 meals to employees and their families, hospital staff and frontline responders. Through member generosity and collective energies healthy, balanced meals were provided to three local hospitals:  The Mayo Clinic, HonorHealth, and Banner Health, as well as the first responders of the Scottsdale Police Department and Scottsdale Fire Department.

Seminole Golf Club

Through the support of ClubsHelp, Jupiter Medical Center was “adopted” by the Seminole Golf Club, whose members stepped up collectively, raising more than $365,000 for Jupiter Medical Center Foundation’s COVID-19 Relief Fund.  Monies raised will be used to continue preventative measures to screen, isolate and treat suspected and confirmed COVID-19 patients while protecting health care workers, their families and other patients, as well as to purchase more medical equipment that addresses the hospital’s highest priority needs.

Palmetto Golf Club, Aiken, SC

Brooks Blackburn, Head Golf Professional and General Manager, and his members were able to provide lunches for 350 employees at Aiken Regional Hospital.  Another great example of ClubsHelp’s reach into local communities.

The Club at Lake Sinclair

At The Club at Lake Sinclair partnered with restauranteur Jason Medders, owner and chef of Aubri Lanes at The Club, to serve hot meals to staff at Baldwin County Fire and Rescue and ORMC Navicent Hospital.  To date, over 1500 individually packaged hot meals, 1000 goody bags with snacks and home-baked goods, and 2000 bottles and cans of water and soft beverages have been served.  Additionally, three complimentary “drive thru” barbeques were held for hometown heroes and frontline responders.  And in a very generous act, the club’s grounds maintenance crews have mowed the lawns of dozens of first responders who were either too busy or too tired to do yard work due to the rigors of fighting COVID-19.

Addison Reserve Country Club (Delray Beach, Florida)

After completing its commitment to deliver 200 meals to Delray Medical Center weekly during the heat of the pandemic, Addison Reserve pivoted to support Palm Beach County Sheriff and Palm Beach County Fire and Rescue departments with 60 meals per week.  In turn, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Department and Addison Reserve have created an emergency services protocol to be implemented during hurricanes or times of other disaster, whereby the club will house these first responders in the safety of the clubhouse.
